The Cottage was built around 1730 of cob stone and lime construction. It was previously a seamstress’s cottage and is accessed by a cobbled pathway known as Threadneedle Street (no connection to the Bank of England!).
Hartland is a very friendly village and the neighbours will always make you feel very welcome .
Although located in the most North Westerly corner of Devon, Hartland is very well catered for with all the facilities needed to make for a comfortable stay.

The Hart Inn and The Anchor Inn are perfect for dining out (booking recommended)
There are 2 general stores close by: The Pop Inn and the Post Office
Coffee on The Square is perfect for breakfast, afternoon tea or just a snack.
Shamrock Fish and Chips is also within a short walking distance
